Polygon Art

So I recently invested in a Microsoft Surface for my design work, so to get to grips with it I decided to try to create some polygon art pictures. Now if these pictures don’t give away a tiny bit of my personality, I don’t know what will. I chose these kinds of images as they are flat colour images so I would have to come up with the colours to make some parts have a shadow and some parts, a tint.

J D Wetherspoon – The Old Manor Facebook Page

I have recently become the admin of The Old Manor’s official Facebook page, so my duty is to post about deals and any information of events that we may have coming up onto the page. I was given the page on 14th March 2016, and it started off with 834 likes. When I started posting things on the page, I gained the page 205 likes, which means we reached our 1000 like milestone.

By being given this page it has given me the opportunity to do something I love, which is advertising, and because it is my place of work it is easy to find things to post about.

Here is a link to the Facebook page – give it a like while you’re there if you like!

Redesigned CV

I recently redesigned and updated my CV for when it comes to applying for design jobs. I have made it look really good in terms of the images and colours I have used. I used orange because it is really bright and striking, so when you see a CV that has a nice bit of colour on it, you are drawn to it. I also put my logo on it as well because it shows that I am capable of self-branding and reflects the skills I have listed on my CV.

This is what it used to looks like when I completed a module on self-branding and professional practice last year. (2015)

JD Wetherspoon

While working for JD Wetherspoon, I designed some posters to help maintain high standards around several pubs located in Bracknell, Maidenhead, and Wokingham. I produced a range of posters about cleanliness, standards, and how to do certain things around the pub in the different branches. The information on some of them have been blurred for confidentiality reasons, but the designs I was really happy with and so were the pub managers of the different pubs.

Michelle Wickham – White’s Dairies & Reggae Ragu

A friend of mine studying a business course at Farnborough College of Technology asked me to make her some logos and some packaging designs for her. Not the biggest jobs in the world but they were pretty good and helped her with her project.

She asked for a logo that said White’s Dairies, which was for a company that sells bread and other dairy products.

She also asked for a packaging design made to match one of her business products about food. Her project was based on the Levi Roots Reggae sauce but had a twist with Ragu, so was called Levi Roots Reggae Ragu. She was really happy with it and she came out with a really good result for it.
